Giving new meaning to ‘wear your food’, the TADAM collection is a sweet and delicious way to go handmade. I keep looking at these fab necklaces and can’t believe they’re not edible. Here’s yet another reason to focus on the global handmade community and not just regional or national. Why limit ourselves when there are so many talented artists around the globe? Thankfully, Deimante and Edita are making it possible for you to taste these fun little treasures no matter where you live. Want to know how these are made? Read on…
I found this description of how these amazing baubles are made from the TADAM Facebook page:
“At the very beginning this sweet Milky Mini Bagel with Golden Crumbs was just a piece of white clay, pressed out from gypsum by hands. After cooling for one week bagel went to the oven and was fired. Afterwards it had to cool down and was decorated with white glaze. It made one more trip to the oven, but not the last one. The last one, the third, was after decorating it with real gold alloy. Finally here comes the chain and sweet jewellery dessert is packed in a fancy white octahedron-shaped box, where it lies atop soft, shredded paper and dreams about its own neck.”
Super creative and made with love, the TADAM collection may just be the perfect find for your handmade world.
