Dublin-based Textile designer Katie Townend has refreshed her Eliza Vale shop with the Deco Day Out collection. Inspired by the Great Gatsby, this sublime collection brings the 20′s and 30′s into clear view with a 21st century update. I absolutely love these designs. Here are a few pieces that I think you will fall for.
This Possession neckpiece is a real handmade show stopper. It features blush pink silk satin with delicate French knots in soft pink and grey thread. Katie also embellishes it with 3D wrapped beads, light grey sequins, metal beads and clear crystals. The reverse side is fully lined in silk satin and the neckpiece is finished with a silk satin ribbon tie. Can you imagine the amount of work and attention to detail that a piece like this demands?
True to the vintage theme of this collection, Katie also includes a selection of handmade cuffs. They feature soft leather and are embellished with smokey grey crystals, off-white and antique silver metal beads and chain. Also, like her neck pieces, Katie incorporates adjustable fasteners into the cuff.
