If you are looking for inspiration for your creative endeavors, you’ve come to the right place. Over the past year, these were some of my favorite resources. They’ve kept me motivated and inspired. Each has been featured on IAMTHELAB.com this year and all are worthy a second look.

  1. Ten Dollar Fonts: To say that I’m a fan of TDF is an understatement. The selection of fonts is incredible and the price is pretty sweet as well. You can see some of my favorites from the TDF collection here. DiD you know that IAMTHELAB.com has its own Ten Dollar Font discount code? It’s LABLOVESTDF and gives you a 10% discount.
  2. Designspiration: The masterwork of Shelby White, Designspiration is on my daily ‘must-visit’ list. I’m working on a logo and shop redesign project for a client and I can’t tell you how much of my research time is spent on Designspiration. Whether it’s for logo and packaging ideas or layout concepts, Designspiration needs to be bookmarked and explored everyday. Here’s an overview of the site.
  3. Vector Mill: You will be blown away by this amazing collection. Vector Mill is the handiwork of Ryan Putnam, owner, designer, and illustrator of Rype Arts. If you’re looking for well-design vector art, this is a the place to go. You can see one of my favorite collections from the Vector Mill shop here.
  4. Design Seeds: DUH! Like I couldn’t include Jessica Colaluca’s colortastic site. There is no one on the internet who understands and loves color better than Jessica. Her Design Seeds are legendary (and often poorly imitated) and have been the basis for many of my design projects over the past 5 years. Not only can you get lost for days at the main Design Seeds site, Jessica’s Fresh Hues blog is also highly addictive. Did you know that you can get entire collections of Design Seeds in ebook format? Learn more about this nifty resource here.
