Need some blogging inspiration? As I’ve mentioned before, blogging need not be a wordy affair. Done well, images can convey all the story you need. Need some examples? Look no further than these 5 great places for creative lurching. Be sure to add them to your blogrolls.
I think I discovered all the mountains one day at an old job. I was bored out of my mind, waiting for the always-intoxicated attorney I worked for to stumble back in from their lunchtime swim in the vodka, when I found this stunning space of visual solace. It’s one of those blogs that shows that you can sustain your web presence just by posting tantalizing images. It’s an endless stream of beauty. I kept it in the back of my mind and used it as source for inspiration for my old blog at Faberuna. Faberuna is changing into a haven of graphic design goodness. All the mountains hasn’t changed, and that’s a good thing. p.s. Also see cake with giants. I know, I know. It’s too much goodness.
Saipua is one of those blogs that I see on other bloggers blogrolls all the time. I’m a sucker for images that have the brightness turned down, with a heavy dose of stillness. There’s something so restful about that effect. You’ll understand when you spend some time on Saipua. Sarah, I tip thy hat to thee. Check out her soaps & such here.
Anabela’s Fieldguided blog is just wow. She is so creative and inspiring. Also, she did this. Anyone who can make this look so cool is worthy of my readership. With just the right mix of images and copy, her journey through a creative life will gently drag you into her wake. And, seriously, she did this. One more thing: have you seen Anabela’s scaves? She gives you the universe.
Yet another example of an image-heavy blog, You Are The River is gorgeous. Faye McAuliffe’s eye for design shines brightly here. You will get lost in the pictures. I love the mix of fashion, interior spaces, industrial design and graphic arts that Faye showcases. It’s one of those blogs that covers every aspect of a design lover’s life.
The lone dude on this list is the maestro of vintage modern poster making also known as Yumalum. His Obsessilicious blog is one of my favorites for those of us who are obsessed with interior spaces. If you love your interiors with a healthy dose of vintage modern, then you have come home. Obsessilicious is also home to one of my favorite blogrolls on the web. Do not blame me if you get nothing done for the rest of the day.
