It’s been a great week here in the LAB. So many great artists from so many different places. It’s one of my greatest pleasures to find new handmakers to feature. Here’s some highlights from the week:
- Did you see the See/Wear combos this week? Between the stitched art of CMYK and those fab necklaces from Lilah Vintage, you just can’t go wrong. Read my interview with the founder of Lilah Vintage, Amanda Trentham, here.
- The Angry Weather may be the best shop name in the known universe. Their stacking rings aren’t that bad either.
- If you love architecture, you will flip your lid for these fab replicas of iconic architecture from Chisel & Mouse.
- I’m really serious: I want that stamp!
There are a few odds & ends and I wanted to share with you as well. I’m a big supporter of Kickstarter. The whole concept is great, especially when the products actually appear. I check from time to time to see if there are any handmakers looking for support. I think this project will do just fine:
It kinda blows my mind that this light comes packed in an 11″ x 17″ envelope! What a great idea. D Calen Knauf’s project looks like one worth supporting. Here’s a few more shots:
I received a note that Pomm has finally released their iCorkCase for iPad. You know, because you need a cork iPad case to make your world complete. It’s kinda funky but I like it:
Finally, here one more thing you might enjoy: You probably know about Jessica Colaluca’s Design Seeds site, but did you know she has a blog too? It’s called Fresh Hues and there you can see the seeds of creativity that bloom from the Design Seeds. This one is a favorite. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday. Unless of course you’re bored and you just want to see what fun will appear in my LAB Saturday post. If so, see you tomorrow!
