I’m working on a project that explores the other side of my style aesthetic. Yes, there is another side! I’m the kind who has two extremes. One is the handmade Italian suit wearing gent and the other is the linen-clad, essential oil doused, plant-based introvert. What a mix, right? I’m hoping that, by the time this other project gets off the ground, Rose and Doug Phillips of Conscious Clothing will have added menswear to their fantastic collection. (Does that sound like a hint to you? PLEASE!)
If you’re into clothes that are handmade, eco-friendly, low-impact and look like they are too comfortable to take off, this is the collection for you. Discover it for yourself and follow them on Instagram. Oh, and they make kids clothes too. Which really just makes my cloth-envy so much worse!
Conscious Clothing is the cumulative vision of Rose and Doug Phillips, a husband and wife team of creative minds with backgrounds in furniture, wood working, guitar building, art and design.
Our company creates sustainable handmade clothing, using eco friendly and low impact materials. We source locally whenever possible because we believe in the transparency of our process from the plant to the garment. Not only do we feel strongly about using only organically grown fibers, we feel it is just as important to know who made your clothes and to support Made in America manufacturing.
Our design studio is located in Rockford Michigan. Here, a team of talented individuals cut, sew, wash and dye, tag, iron, and ship our unique pieces. From our hands to your doorstep, we are re-envisioning the way clothing is made and the value behind it.
