Free Fonts: Noelan, Simplifica, Kano & Wildera

Wildera is a free front from Lauren Lee, a designer and illustrator from New York City. Lauren says that Wildera is a “handwritten typeface I created based off my calligraphy project on Instagram. I wanted my typeface to be feminine with a bite, suitable for sweet and sarcastic copy. The font includes stylized lowercase, uppercase, and ligatures.” You can download it here for free. (You are required to register in order to download all 4 of the fonts in this collection.)

Next we have Simplifica, a fresh typeface from K A I W A, an illustration and design firm from Luxenbourg. It’s described as “a slightly condensed sans-serif typeface featured by an uniform and thin line width. Its high positioned capsheight and ascender favours legibility. A fine, simple and clear font”. This slender find is a great freebie and if you ever want to understand the difference between a font and a typeface, read the copy on the images here, then download this treat here.

Looking for something fancy? Try Noelan by Pixel Surplus. This is a super complete typeface. Pixel surplus notes that “Noelan Script is a modern calligraphy typeface from Ndroadv.  It features a very clean and modern design.  Noelan includes many alternates for easy mixing & matching and also has international characters!” You will love that the letters magically connect with each other. Download this freebie right here.

Lastly, we have Kano, designed by award-winning graphic designer Frederick Lee. Described as “a free sans serif geometric elegant typeface for all design purposes and projects”, this is a great addition to any font collection. It’s such a clean treat, ready for posters, print and more. Download it here and make a donation here.
