Techy Tech – Katrina & Pugly Pixels

OK, I’m going to let you in on a super-cool secret supply of techy-tech goodness: Pugly Pixels. (I had way too much fun writing that last sentence.)

Pugly Pixels is the brainchild of Katrina Tan. What Katrina is doing for the online community is so kind: she posts tutorials showing you how to do all kinds of cool things with Photoshop, images and so forth. Her videos are easy to understand and are a must-have if you are a Photoshop and/or CSS tinkerer like I am.

You should definitely have Pugly Pixels in your bookmarks. Plus, Katrina offers a very affordable membership program. You can sign up to grab a ton of freebies or you can do  sign up for her STYLE Screencast. This is so sweet: the STYLE Screencasts will teach you how to code, in CSS, you very own blog template!

Here are a few of the free features on Pugly Pixels that you should check out:

Learn how to create this great cut-out effect with Photoshop. (Nice font!)

Isn’t this gorgeous? Click here to learn how to add that perfect touch of color to black & white photos.

This is probably one of my favorites. Don’t you just love this paper doll cut-out affect?

One more: everyone is into doing color palettes these days. I’d like to think it’s because of Design Seeds, because Jessica did it first and does it the best. Now you can do a little palette making of your own with this free template. It’s a really great idea, and like the rest of Katrina’s yummy site, easy to use and understand. Thanks Katrina & Pugly Pixels!
