LAB News:

handmade bags clutches

Zila Longenecker’s collection of clutches is simply sublime. I love her combination of fabrics and leather. It takes a keen eye to mix florals and patterns like this and Zila does a wonderful job. Some of the materials she uses are vintage and purchased locally. Zila has also collected a large stash of fabrics over the years. The leather she uses is usually purchased or upcycled from upholstery factories locally in Arizona. One of my favorite quotes from her bio is this:

“CONSUERE is one woman production. I design, I shop for supplies, I test materials, I sew the bags, I photograph, I list, I promote my shop. My goal is to offer bags and accessories that are beautiful, thoughtful and well made.”

Zila, like so many handmakers, is doing so much to promote her designs. It’s my pleasure to do my part by featuring her here on the LAB.
