Stephano Diaz and Troy Mattison Hicks are the masterminds behind this very successful line of handmade neckwear known as Necklush. What a great story these two gents have.
Stephano and Troy started selling their fantastic handmade creations on the streets of NYC in 2008 and things have been looking up ever since. Not only can you find Necklush in some pretty high profile places around the United States, they also represented Etsy at the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum’s Design Triennial “Why Design Now? exhibit. I should also mention that they donate a portion of their proceeds to the Gerson Institute, of which I am a big fan. I have the Gerson Therapy book, freshly read, on my bookshelf as I type.
So, what can I say about their pieces? Take a look at these ridiculously-amazing pieces yourself:
This is what great handmade is all about: fantastic colors, made-to-order and at a great prices. I love the versatility of this collection. You could easily wear these from the chilly winters of New York to the cool evening of Kona. I think this Bib Necklace is one of my favorite pieces. Remember, each piece is made when you order it, so there will be subtle differences. No matter, you’ll be getting one of the best pieces of handmade goodness on these here interwebs.
From what I can tell, the Infinity scarves are the most popular pieces. Again, very versatile and the fabric patterns are unique to Necklush. There is quite a large selection, so I’m sure you’ll find something you love in the Necklush shop.
