I love the natural leather mixed with canvas. Bags like these have such a universal appeal. So versatile, I could see these used for work or play.
I really enjoyed reading this interview from The Genteel about Molly’s collection. It’s worth the read. Not only does Molly really seem to understand the value of being a handmaker, she also understands the need to establish trends that support a less complicated view of life. I love this quote:
I’m finding more and more that trends are leaning towards what I consider important, like real artisan craftsmanship. True American and European heritage brands have kind of taken over the world of streetwear as of late. Most of these companies have based their philosophies on the same set of morals as I have. I like to see people buying less and buying better. That might be a trend in itself, but I hope it’s one that doesn’t fade away.
It’s easier to get behind a handmaker’s products when you know that they value quality over quantity.
